There are weekends when there's nothing to do and they're quite boring... but there are others when you do simple things that end up being really interesting and fun :)
Last week I had like 5 days off because there was an activity at the Uni (which of course I didn't attend!), and after those two days came the Halloween holidays, so an aunt that lives in Viña said she was coming to stay with us for the weekend. She's quite nice and we always have a good time when she's with us; we play cards, have some beers and talk a lot. This time was not different. She bought some yummi things to cook, a couple of beers and being at home turned out to be a nice thing to do ^_^
But the best day was Saturday. On Friday evening I went to my godfather's because it was his birthday. The dinner my aunt prepared was delicious and I also drank what my boyfriend taught me to drink: whiskey (with Coke, of course!). I had a fantastic time with my cousins and their cousins, and I had the opportunity to see some relatives I hadn't seen for a long time. I got home at 4 am!! And when I came into my room, my heart filled my chest because my boyfriend was calmly sleeping on my bed; I had told him to go to my house after work because we were going to get out early the next day, but as I got home late, he obviously fell asleep. It felt as if it was our own place, like the future had come... well, the future does eventually come, doesn't it? :D
On Saturday morning (well, at about noon actually, hehe), we got up to go to the place where my mom, aunt and granma had chosen to spend the day. The weather was fantastic, with a bright bue sky and a soft wind blowing from... nah, I don't know where the wind was blowing from but I tried to sound as a poet xD Anyway... We went to a picnic zone near Calera de Tango; the place where we stayed was empty but for us, which was perfect because neither my mom nor my granma like crowds. We had a barbecue, some delicious empanadas, some beers... and then, after lunch, we went to the pool! Well, the pool was also there, but the pool season is not yet open so the lady that worked there said "It's ok, you can swim, but if anyone asks you can say you're my niece and nephew and that I let you use the pool"... Great!! Jorge and I swam for about half an hour... well, we swam and of course played like little kids in the warm water :D
We got home at about 8.30 pm. Although my boyfriend and I were in that mixed sensation of tiredness and relax, which mas making us want to stay home instead of going out, we better washed our faces and went to this pub near my house. We really wanted to go because Jorge's former band was going to play, and there was also a Stratovarius tribute band. The atmosphere inside the place was heavily metal-head, with everybody wearing band t-shirts and lots of beer being drunk. The members of Obstinato (Jorge's former band) were surprised and really glad to see my boyfriend there, after about 4 years! They are really nice and their music is quite good, although I've never liked (and probably never will) the lyrics in Spanish :-P And Frozenside, the band that was tributing Stratovarius, sounded awesome and the most amazing thing about them was they had a female guitarist! The girl was about my same height, with curly long hair and a very normal shape, but while playing her guitar she kicked ass!!! The solos were at the same speed of the originals and they even played Speed of Light faster than the original!! I couldn't believe my eyes!! That girl is gonna be a rock star soon!! \m/
Of course we had a fantastic time and I'm very happy because my boyfriend could talk to the Obstinatos and everything got clear between them; it's not that they hated him or viceversa, but it's always important to make this kind of things clear, isn't it? And he also got an invitation to sing in another band, which is great for him because he really needs it (well, I also need it, but I guess I should use the chance I have to record some songs with the keyboardist of my former band, right?)
I have to study now, damn... what a week this will be! :-P
Listening to: Iron Maiden, counting the days down until March 9th! yeah!
